ST. MARTIN – In a landmark moment for regional integration, St. Martin has officially joined the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), marking a significant expansion of the bloc dedicated to economic cooperation and sustainable development. The accession was announced during the opening ceremony of the 76th OECS Authority Meeting in St. Martin on March 19, 2025.

Dr. The Hon. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, described the occasion as a “truly historic moment” that further strengthens the unity among Caribbean nations. Leaders from across the region gathered to witness the event, underscoring the OECS’s commitment to deepening collaboration and fostering economic resilience.
