The album’s first single, titled “Never Stop Trying”, is set to be released on October 25, 2024. The track features a dynamic collaboration between Capleton, rising reggae star Contractor, and Jamaican Canadian rapper Lucci Gabana, who not only performs on the single but also serves as the album’s Executive Producer. Fans can now pre-order the track on platforms like Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music. The song combines Capleton’s fiery energy, Contractor’s powerful message, and Gabana’s unique flow, making it an inspiring anthem of perseverance.
Lucci Gabana, already a prominent figure in the reggae and urban music scenes, spoke about the significance of this project, saying, “This album is more than just a collection of songs—it’s a testament to the resilience and creativity of reggae music. We’re bringing artists together from different walks of life to celebrate reggae’s influence and spread its message globally.”
Gabana, who has also been vocal about the importance of maintaining reggae’s presence in Canada’s music industry, believes this project will bridge gaps between Jamaica and the Canadian diaspora. His involvement as both artist and executive producer underscores the personal and cultural importance of the album.
As excitement builds for the album’s release, S-Q Records is positioning this compilation as a celebration of reggae’s past, present, and future. With the first single, “Never Stop Trying,” set to make waves later this month, the album is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most anticipated reggae releases.
