Kingston, Jamaica – In the early hours of Monday morning, Prime Minister Andrew Holness addressed the nation following a brutal gun attack on Cherry Tree Lane in Clarendon that left several people dead. The Prime Minister has called an urgent meeting of the National Security Council to address the situation and formulate a robust response.

Holness reassured citizens that his government remains steadfast in its commitment to combating criminality through a multi-faceted approach, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation with security forces. “We will not relent in our efforts to reduce criminality, and we will not surrender our society to criminals,” Holness affirmed.
