Kingston, Jamaica – A’legends is not just turning heads; she’s also turning pages in her evolving career.
The US-based fashionista has landed her second acting role, following her debut in the movie Summer Angels 3 to 11. Her latest project, Cleon James’ Unbelievable, is set to premiere at the end of October 2024.
The film features renowned international reggae artist Spragga Benz, known for his iconic roles in Shottas and Second Chance. A’legends will share the screen with other talents such as Supa Twitch, Lisa Determined, and Charmaine Denton.
Cleon James is celebrated for his work as a writer and producer on several high-profile films, tackling real-life experiences with universal themes, including Trust God, Foreign Exchange, and Green Card.
In Unbelievable, the storyline follows a couple grappling with fertility challenges, exploring adoption as a second option to fill the void in their lives. However, the journey takes an unexpected turn, leading to unforeseen surprises. A’legends portrays an unfaithful wife, offering a nuanced character with valuable lessons to be learned.
Recalling her first encounter with James at the premiere of Second Chance, A’legends expressed her enthusiasm when the opportunity to take on a second role arose. “We went through the contract, which I signed, and then I jetted off to Florida,” she explained.
Filming commenced in the second week of June 2024 and wrapped up by July.
Already recognized as one of dancehall’s most popular fashion designers, A’legends views her role in Unbelievable as a significant step toward her Hollywood aspirations. “This movie has opened so many doors for me, and I can assure anyone that it will attract a lot of fans for A’legends. Nothing is impossible when it comes to my career,” she stated.
