Kingston, Jamaica, February 4, 2024 – Dancehall Week 2025 is thrilled to announce an expansion in its annual festivities with the inclusion of educational seminars and a comprehensive Business of Entertainment Expo, which aims to deepen the industry’s economic and cultural impact. This year’s enhancements are designed to equip recording artistes, producers, and other industry players with the tools they need to thrive in the evolving dancehall landscape.
The series of seminars begins on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre with a focus on ‘Monetizing & Financial Support for Dancehall’ from 1pm to 4pm. This session will explore effective strategies for financial growth and sustainability within the industry. The educational initiative continues Tuesday, February 25, 2025, with the ‘Cannabis & Its Dependency on Dancehall’ seminar, which will discuss the legal and cultural ties between cannabis and dancehall music, providing valuable insights for stakeholders.

It’s crucial that we provide our community with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate the challenges and opportunities in our industry”.
In addition to the seminars, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, will feature the Dancehall Week Business of Entertainment Expo, also held at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre from 10am to 6pm. All seminars are powered by Chas E Ramson’s brands: Foska Oats, Blue Diamond, Ceres, and Magic Malt, ensuring that these sessions provide both impactful information and substantial support to the attendees. Furthermore, the Dancehall Village at Ranny Williams remains a key feature of the week, offering themed areas, free workshops, and a 2-day Dancehall Museum. This immersive environment is designed to celebrate the rich heritage and bright future of dancehall music, providing a space for cultural engagement and learning.
