Capleton in the Race for Grammy Consideration with Two Major Projects

Kingston, Jamaica – Jamaican reggae and dancehall icon Capleton, also known as King Shango, has two of his latest works submitted for consideration in the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards. The veteran artiste, renowned for his energetic performances and socially conscious lyrics, is featured on the album Reggae Diaries Vol 1, which includes the track “This is How We Roll,” a collaboration with Buju Banton and BL The Hook Slaya.
The album Reggae Diaries Vol 1 has been submitted in the Best Reggae Album category, while the song “This is How We Roll” has been put forward for Best Global Music Performance. Capleton’s presence in this year’s Grammy race comes as no surprise to fans, given his longstanding influence in the reggae industry and his previous Grammy nomination for his 2002 album Still Blazing.
