BET Launches “Shop With BET” Marketplace to Highlight Black-Owned and Inclusive Brands

NEW YORK, USA – BET has announced the launch of Shop With BET, a curated online marketplace developed in partnership with Cistus Media. Designed to spotlight Black-owned and inclusive brands, the platform provides a unique shopping experience just in time for the holiday season. Featuring products that celebrate Black entrepreneurs, small businesses, and culturally inclusive designs, Shop With BET underscores the network’s ongoing commitment to equity and representation.

The initiative aims to blend culture and commerce, leveraging BET’s extensive digital presence and top-rated content to connect audiences with products that reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Black culture. BET describes the marketplace as a seamless and culturally relevant shopping destination, giving visibility to small businesses while fostering representation in commerce.

To mark the launch, BET will debut Shop With BET: Where Culture Meets Commerce, a special half-hour program hosted by actor KJ Smith, TV personality Mara S. Campo, and fashion expert Gabrielle Richards. The first episode will air on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 10 PM ET/CT, following a new installment of Tyler Perry’s Sistas. A second episode will follow later in the season, offering viewers behind-the-scenes insights into the featured brands.

BET’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kimberly Paige, noted that the launch is a natural fit alongside the network’s top-rated content. She highlighted how the success of Tyler Perry’s Sistas as the #1 series on television for Black viewers complements Shop With BET’s mission of celebrating Black-owned businesses.

Cistus Media CEO Candi Carter emphasized that the partnership goes beyond commerce, focusing on empowering communities and showcasing the richness of Black culture.
