Vybz Kartel to Headline First-Ever Houston Concert on October 31 with Afro-Caribbean All-Star Lineup

HOUSTON, TX — For the first time in his iconic career, Vybz Kartel, the Worl’ Boss of dancehall, will bring his electrifying energy to Houston for a monumental concert that promises to be one of the most culturally rich events of the year. Set for Friday, October 31, 2025, inside the Toyota Center, this Afro-Caribbean spectacle will unite musical powerhouses from across the globe.

The concert, Vybz Kartel & Friends: Afro-Caribbean Takeover Houston 2025, is presented by Jay Upscale, New York’s premier Caribbean promoter, and coincides with Afrotech Weekend — a time when the city becomes a hub for global Black innovation, culture, and community.

Global Stage, One Night Only

Joining Vybz Kartel on stage is a global lineup of chart-topping artists:

• Olamide (Nigeria) – The Afrobeats trailblazer and founder of YBNL Nation, bringing hits like “Wo!!”, “Rock”, and “Trumpet” to the stage.

• Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) – East Africa’s most streamed artist, known for his award-winning fusion of Bongo Flava and Afro-pop.

• Kes (Trinidad & Tobago) – Soca royalty and Carnival ambassador, famed for anthems like “Savannah Grass”, ready to raise Caribbean vibes to the ceiling.

Together, they will transform Houston into a melting pot of Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Soca — genres that continue to shape global culture and music.
