WASHINGTON, DC – The DMV’s most anticipated Caribbean cultural experience, Hookie Weekend, is set to return June 19th to 23rd, 2025, promising an electrifying five-day celebration of music, culture, freedom, and community.

Coinciding once again with Juneteenth Weekend, this year’s edition carries even deeper significance, blending Caribbean vibes with a powerful tribute to liberation and heritage. Now in its biggest iteration yet, Hookie Weekend 2025 will feature six signature events, attracting revellers from the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and beyond.

“Hookie Weekend has always been more than a party, it’s a celebration of identity, liberation, and togetherness. Returning on Juneteenth makes this year especially meaningful as we continue to honour our collective history while creating space for joy and expression,” shared a spokesperson from Hookie Life Entertainment, the team behind the festival.

Among the 2025 highlights is the Hookie DC Pool Party, returning to a new venue—Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags theme park, offering a fusion of Soca, splash, and style. Other beloved events include:

• Lion’s Pride J’ouvert – This year themed Call of J’ouvert

• Shine DC – A chic lounge experience

• Riddim & Glow – An evolved version of the popular Riddim & Road event, bringing a glowing mas road experience back to the DMV

• Oasis – The official festival cool-down party
