Canada Condemns Attack on Humanitarian Workers in Donetsk

Toronto – Canada has strongly condemned the recent brutal attack in Donetsk that resulted in the deaths of three humanitarian workers from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The workers were engaged in delivering essential aid to the region when they were tragically killed.

In a statement released earlier today, Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s Minister of International Development, expressed the country’s deep dismay at the attack. “Canada stands firmly with Ukraine during this tragic time,” Hussen said. “We reiterate the urgent need to protect humanitarian workers, who are critical to delivering aid and support to those in dire need.
