Moziyah Releases ‘Cry for Love’ — A Soulful Plea for Unity Through Reggae

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Rising reggae artiste Moziyah is turning up the volume on his mission to inspire and uplift with the release of his latest single, “Cry for Love.” Already receiving heavy rotation on IRIE FM and SunCity FM, the track delivers a timely message calling for unity and compassion from a realistic point of view.
Born Andrew Roberts and raised at 50 Red Hills Road in the heart of Kingston, Moziyah grew up immersed in Jamaica’s vibrant music culture. From outdoor dances to recording studio hangouts, he began singing competitively at just seven years old, honing a talent shaped by experience rather than hype.
“Music is music, but reggae is my foundation. Righteous music is what I do,” Moziyah says. That mission is at the heart of Cry for Love, which blends roots reggae rhythms with heartfelt lyrics grounded in Rastafarian spirituality.
Drawing influence from legends like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Burning Spear, Moziyah’s sound reflects both the tradition of Jamaican reggae and the global influence of soul and conscious music. Having migrated to the United States in 1997, he embraces a transnational sound—one that channels the spiritual essence of reggae with the versatility of international grooves.
His discography also includes other well-received singles such as “Capture All,” “Cross Roads,” “Knock Knock,” and the sensual “No Lies”, all released under his own independent label, IMZ Entertainment (Ingenuity Movement Zone).
“I believe in creating music from a production perspective. I also love to play instruments which helps keep melodies in my head,” Moziyah explains. His commitment to songwriting, instrumentalism, and authenticity is at the core of everything he produces.
Whether performing roots reggae or dancehall-infused tracks, Moziyah remains grounded in his message: upliftment, love, and truth. With Cry for Love, he’s proving once again that his music doesn’t just move people—it means something.
