Taking to social media following the meeting, Ruto emphasized the importance of such collaborations. “Kenya and Indonesia are exploring ways to strengthen ties for our shared prosperity. In particular, we will collaborate in establishing alternative financing alliances for sustainable development,” the Kenyan President stated on his official X account.
With both nations being key players in their respective regions, this meeting signifies a step toward fostering greater South-South cooperation, leveraging their complementary strengths. Indonesia, with its vast maritime resources and advanced investment strategies, and Kenya, a growing economic hub in East Africa, stand to benefit from deepening ties in sectors like renewable energy, infrastructure, and digital finance.
