TORONTO, ON – The highly anticipated Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival returns from April 30 to May 11, 2025, promising an electrifying showcase of global talent and cultural vibrancy. This year’s festival will feature a stellar lineup, including Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist John Legend, legendary 70s pop and funk icons Earth, Wind & Fire, and dancehall powerhouses Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.
The festival, known for its diverse music genres, will span six nights of performances across various venues, including the picturesque Pigeon Island National Park and the Ramp at Rodney Bay. Thousands of music lovers from around the world are expected to attend this iconic event.
Minister of Tourism, Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, highlighted the festival’s longstanding appeal, stating, “Our Jazz & Arts festival has been going strong for more than 30 years, thanks to the much sought after artists that we continue to collaborate with. Visitors come from around the world to enjoy the lineup, the warm hospitality of our people, and the stunning setting of Saint Lucia. 2025 sees us build on the wonderful art component that we reintroduced in 2023 as well as the hugely successful music programming with global and local artists from jazz and gospel to reggae, pop, and now country music.”
A Lineup to Remember
- April 30 (Opening Night): A high-energy start featuring an all-Saint Lucian cast performing Soca and Dennery Segment. Jamaican reggae sensation Sizzla will take the stage, along with country music star Gretchen Wilson, marking the genre’s first inclusion in the festival’s history.
- May 6 (Pure Jazz): Italian jazz virtuoso Mateo Mancuso and Trinidadian trumpeter Etienne Charles will bring their unique blend of jazz and rock to the festival.
- May 7 (Kingdom Nights): A night of inspirational gospel music featuring Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Maverick City Music.
- May 8 (Pure Jazz): Grammy-nominated vocalist Jazzmeia Horn will grace the stage with her soulful melodies.
- May 9 (Caribbean Fusion): Reggae and dancehall giants Beenie Man and Bounty Killer will deliver a nostalgic and high-energy performance, including their joint track ‘Legendary’ and individual hits such as ‘Who Am I/Simma’ and ‘Look into My Eyes’.
- May 10 (World Beats): Afrobeat star Ruger (‘Bounce’) and Haitian band Tabou Combo (‘New York City’) will showcase a fusion of rhythms from Africa and the Caribbean.
- May 11 (The Ultimate Celebration – The Legends): The grand finale will feature 12-time Grammy winner John Legend performing hits like ‘All of Me’ and ‘Ordinary People,’ alongside Earth, Wind & Fire, who will bring timeless classics like ‘September’ and ‘Let’s Groove’ to life.
In addition to the music, the festival’s arts scene will run from May 1 to May 9, continuing the “Art and the City” theme from 2023. This segment will showcase a diverse range of artistic and cultural expressions, including exhibitions, spoken word poetry, and theatre performances across the island.
