The President also appointed Mr. R. Kamanga as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation. Kamanga’s role will be instrumental in addressing the country’s water challenges, especially in light of ongoing concerns surrounding climate change and resource management.

Additionally, Ambassador A. Musemuna was sworn in as Zambia’s new envoy to Kenya. This appointment is expected to bolster Zambia’s diplomatic relations with Kenya, particularly in areas of trade and regional cooperation.

President Hichilema expressed his confidence in the new appointees, noting that each of them had demonstrated exceptional commitment and capability in their respective fields. “We wish them success in their new roles as they serve the nation and represent Zambia on the global stage,” the President said in a statement shared via his official social media account.

The swearing-in ceremony underscores the government’s dedication to ensuring that key sectors such as defense, water development, and foreign diplomacy are led by competent individuals who can further Zambia’s developmental agenda.

The appointments are effective immediately, with the President calling on Zambians to support the new leaders in their mission to improve the country’s standing both domestically and internationally.
