Gaborone, Botswana – In a diplomatic gesture marking the end of his tenure, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Taher El Fadly, paid a farewell courtesy call on Botswana’s President, His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
The meeting, which took place at the Office of the President, symbolized the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the two nations during Ambassador El Fadly’s service. Over the years, Egypt and Botswana have worked closely on key regional issues, particularly in the areas of trade, education, and health, as well as joint efforts to address climate change.
