Women in the audience, particularly, were drawn to his “lushious jelly-flavored lyrical menu.” Reflecting on the experience, Cruz shared, “It was really electrifying, and it keeps getting better each time I throw off my covers. So many fans wanted more, but I had to make room for everyone.”

Cruz’s setlist featured hits like Only The Father, Jah Cruz (a medley of five love songs), Half-Way Tree, Mama Blessings, No Guns to Dance, and Block The Road. He also honored his late uncle, reggae legend Garnet Silk, with a powerful rendition of Mama Africa.

His show at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Illinois was particularly memorable, with Cruz rocking a striking two-piece white African print outfit. The outdoor venue provided an intimate atmosphere, allowing fans, including many college students, to mingle and enjoy the vibe. The ladies couldn’t resist rushing the stage, eager to get closer to their favorite artist.

Backed by Jah Guide Edge Band, Cruz’s performances were full of energy and passion, leaving fans clamoring for more. His U.S. tour is far from over, with more stops planned in other states. Simultaneously, Cruz is busy in the studio preparing for his ninth album, adding to a discography that already includes Light of the World, Mama Blessings, Where There is Love, and Fight With All Your Might.
