The Bounty of the Basket initiative plays a crucial role in Ethiopia’s agricultural strategy, focusing on improving farming practices, providing access to quality seeds, and implementing sustainable land management techniques. The program’s success in regions like Sidama is seen as key to enhancing local economies and achieving food self-sufficiency for the nation.

The Green Legacy initiative has gained international recognition as one of the largest afforestation efforts in the world. Since its inception, more than 25 billion trees have been planted across Ethiopia. The upcoming National Planting Day, scheduled for later this month, will further this effort, with communities, government officials, and international partners joining forces to plant millions more trees.

As Ethiopia continues to address the challenges of climate change and food security, the Bounty of the Basket and Green Legacy initiatives are expected to play a vital role in securing a sustainable and prosperous future for the country.
