Asmara, Eritrea — In a significant diplomatic engagement, President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea welcomed an Egyptian delegation led by Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty for an extensive meeting at the Denden Guest House in the early afternoon hours Saturday. The meeting is part of the periodic Consultative Forums regularly held between Eritrea and Egypt, alternating between Asmara and Cairo, aimed at fostering cooperation and addressing regional challenges.

The discussions centered on key bilateral and regional issues of mutual importance, including the current developments in Sudan and Somalia, as well as the broader security concerns surrounding the Red Sea.
